Crazy October

In a blink of an eye, October's almost over. It's been a while since i last blogged and i apologize. So much stuff happened yet again. My life seems to be rather "happening" now, i presume. heh ^_^v Anyways, here are most of the selfies I took this month. There are A LOT A LOT more but these will have to suffice lol. Just a post to kill time and also to keep this blog site of mine somewhat updated.

SELF:-
* I dyed my hait blonde but it came out in uneven tones of brown. I somewhat like it tho :D
* Been working on my ab lines real lot yet... i still eat REAL LOT. so heh.. that will be delayed LOL.
* Been taking a lot of mirror ootd shots lately.
* Got into a car accident and has been car-less for the past month and im so sad i wanna craii :(
* Visited the police station so many times i can just waltz in and proclaim, "IM HOME HUNNYYYY!"

PARTY:-
*Been out partying a lot lately. Junk Backstage has become "THE" nightspot for me.
*Met a lot of new people and made a few friends. (yay for more social life?)
*Had one of the most enjoyable after party nights and literally danced the whole night away.
*Best "wingman" of my entire clubbing life award goes to the only and only bish, Teresa lolol! (she's leaving for Melb in like 100+days. t(-.-t) asdfghjkl whai is everyone leaving wtf?)

COLLEGE:-
(Haven't spent as much time as i would have liked with them recently cause of my crazy dance schedule and i feel so left out and forgotten! and and i feel like a spare tyre wtf ashjkl. wtf. argh my insecurities and my thoughts are fcked lol)

*spent quite an amount of time with college friends for the past weeks, just from 7am breakfasts to late night cruising around Kuching cause we have no where to go lol, to horrible karaoke sessions and dreadful, tiring classes.
*recorded and made a birthday video(surprise) for our one and only bloody girl, Vvien. Happy 19th and may all your dreams come true +sprinkles fairy dust+
* got through with both presentations and left with one final presentation for A.P classes.
*finished 2 assignments out of 7. redid the whole of my E.P assignment 1 cause my lecturer said - "Actually i think you could have done so much better. I was expecting more from you." fml i hate it when i get these comments. It's as if i never try to do my best and live up to people's expectations argh. BUT still i did redo it and I guess she thinks I gave my best shot now lolol. Yay?
* stayed up crazy late and had like 2-3 hours of sleep for the past 1 week since I can only rush my assignments after dance pracs every night. HHAHAHA UGH.

*and this is why I've been so busy. all these in only 2 weeks wtf*

DANCE:-
* had crazy amount of showcases lately. AND PRACTICES. CRAY-CRAY I TELL YOU.

#1. Halloween Showcase at HUB Lounge&Karaoke. I dressed as a dead clown/corpse/whatever you wanna call me as LOL. Each crew member dressed differently. Honestly, this was one of the most interesting and fun showcases we've done cause we have acting and somewhat "dressing up" to do! :D

Found a spot to take pictures after the showcase. Thus, post Halloween showcase pictures! Guess the characters we're trying to portray? :D We hope you have a good night's sleep xx

"The scariest nightmares are usually the ones that lie within you."

and well, this is us trying to be all funny in our scary costumes lolol.

#2. October Fest showcases at Senso Hilton and Rajang Lounge at Grand Magherita. They provided us with these "milk-maid" look alike costumes to dance... the.. chicken dance. lolol LMFAO.

*did so many shows this week that I can't really keep track anymore lol*

*our practice timetables and events omfg*

Tiring, but i love it. Despite the fact I don't have my car which makes it rather annoying since i need transport all the time. But yesh, it feels good to be busy with shows again after quite a long two months break ._. yay!

#3. Joined the 6th Gatsby Dance Competiton. We have to submit our audition video via YouTube. Length must be 1 minute and we have to mix up our soundtracks only by using the music and sound effects provided. Number of people are limited to 3 per crew. ^^^^ this was our get up that day! We were not allowed to use snapbacks tho :(
(watch a snipbit of the snapback version on my instagram @arielllo)

Please please please do us a favour and watch our youtube submission video and give it a thumbs up? We're not so sure whether it's judged while taking in consideration of the views and likes so any form of support would be appreciated!
click HERE !! :D

and um, I've been skyping a lot lately. Most people who added me on WeChat would know so..yeah ^_^v
*for some reason I really like this screenshot he took*

*You are the most frustrating person I wanna choke, yet hug at the same time*
So I've been rather annoyed with time zones, distance, and shit like this. Cause, you feel like home and that's where i'd wanna go. Sorry for the picture spam, i just had to LOLOL. ^_^v

Note: here's the Gatbsy Dance Audition Video. Thank you for all your support :D xx

August Happenings.

Hey people!  So, August has been a rather happening month for me this year and I guess that's why it passed rather quickly. Since some of my readers state that I don't blog about anything else rather than my crew and dance life, here's some updates about everything else that has been going on lately.

 1. I'm slowly adjusting to the busy college life( by that i mean, body clock that's fcking messed up and assignments that never seem to end and of course sitting down to get the study mode) and I guess although i moan and groan about classes I enjoy most of my classes. Took the final exams for my short sem a few weeks back and overall scored a CGPA of 3.5 out of 4.0. Happy but yet again felt that I could actually score better. Guess it's alright for a start though. I'll be satisfied, for now at least hehhh.

After my 1 week holiday break I got my list of classes that I would be attending for the next sem and I  literally had no idea what to expect from any of my classes cause.. I couldn't understand the subject names lolol. I mean, look below!

I did a presentation on contemporary and modern theories for the media before and it was bloody difficult so I guess Communication Theory would be my hardest sub. A senior is repeating his 3rd time taking this subject so you get my point. Only my first week into the long sem and I'm dying already. So far, i have a solo 3 hour presentation to prepare for and an 2.5k word(min) essay(assignment) for Communication Theory, an article to write for Copywriting, 4 drafts, 2 mockups to draw, colour and recreate in photoshop for E.P, 5 news reports to write and self creating a 15min 30sec radio programme for Radio Journalism. So, I got all this in a week. A WEEK.HOW IN THE WORLD asdfghjkl. Thank God my A.P class is rather relaxing phew. *sigh* Have to work extra hard this sem for me to keep up with my min score of 3.5 CGPA.

*chosen sketch mockup. colour testing at 2.30am. yep, i'm hardcore*

I won't deny how interesting my subjects really are though they do require lots of work but at least I enjoy it so I guess I'm really blessed not to have to have anything to do with maths and any scientific shit which I suck in. hehhh. oh oh, and thank God for friends who are not as blur as me :P

2. Before I started my first week of the long sem, i decided to get rid of my multi-coloured hair so, I'm fully a brunette now! It took me a while to actually get used to dark brown hair instead of my pink/peach/purple/orange/blonde hair so for the first few days I was rather annoyed at myself but now I find it's easier to match with my clothing so what the hell. I might highlight it crazy again but for now i'd just stay neutral! Plus, it doesn't draw too much attention to me too and I don't get called an "ah lien". pfft ew. "Grunge fashion" is what inspired me for my hair okay. Google it!

*snpashots from an instavideo of the weekend from my insta. follow me @arielllo*

3. I headed up to Damai Resort for one of the weekends ago for a part time beer promoter job at Escobar. There was a beach rave going on and the crowd *cough* mostly MEN *cough* were excited as fcuk since deejay Tenashar was one of the guest deejays that night. The night was really crazy though. Once the night reached it's peak, damn it, it was as if I pumped and passed out beers like it was my life. These people just keep coming lol! Thank God my supervisor was a really nice person or else I would have died. The things I do for the sake of extra income tsk. Broke my record of wearing 5 inch heels from 6.45pm up till 1am. *a round of applause please* Stayed a while after working hours to party but we were obviously too tired so went back to our hotel rooms after a while and zonked out soon enough. I probably only had 2-3 hours of sleep that night ugh. But, it was worth it for s short getaway from the norms.

4. Attended J.A.B Volume 3(i think) to support my crew leader in her 2 on 2 Freestyle battle last week. It's been a while since I've been to a dance scene with all the other Kuching dancers. Some even flew in from Melaka, KL and other places for this particular event. Makes me wanna dance so badly after watching all the other dancers do their thing. Note to self : work on my freestyle lolol.

5. I attended wacking workshop by Michael Sim (Singapore), with my crew members. His wacking technique was completely different from what we usually practice. For the first time, attending a dance workshop wasn't stressful as compared to the previous ones I've attended. I could actually enjoy it and i've really missed this particular feeling. Maybe it's the stress of having to do better and an expectation others have for you but for some reason that day it was easy to let loose and just enjoy the beats and the moves freely. Thank you for having us! xx

*ice cream sesh with the girls after the wacking workshop. full instavid version on my insta!*

6. Had a movie night session with highschool friends and watched Mortal Instruments. I think that this has got to be the best 2013 movie I've watched up to date. IT'S SO AMAZING *sprinkles hearts and glitter* I cannot even. I HAVE TO READ THE DAMN BOOK. it's asdfghjkl. JUST GO WATCH IT. GO.

7. Been going to Junk Backstage rather frequently and I met new people, made new friends and went out on 2 dates. After all, you should go on dates. How would you know if you never tried? Tip here though : don't expect much from the post date happenings. It was probably just a date with a guy after all. If he's interested he will make an effort. If he doesn't, he's not the one. xx

8. I've probably ticked so many stuff listed on my bucket list this year and the year isn't over yet. I met a British guy just last Saturday night at Junk Backstage and we hit it off almost instantly. I swear I melted. I really did. He is one of , no, scratch that- THE sweetest most gentleman guy I've ever met. All the small gestures, all the polite words and shit really I'm melted. I mean, how often do people ask you this - "do you want to dance with me?" and hold up their hand? HOW MANY YOU TELL ME. People here usually just try to grind you and shit. *fans self* Here's a few things he said to me that night.

It's been so long since I've had an actual intelligent English conversation and asdfghjkl damn.
At one point I stayed my distance cause well, you can never be too careful but then, cannot. I MELT. He;s is just too sweet. I used to think I would only consider dating or even marrying anAsian just like myself but after that night that has definitely changed!! Teresa seemed to be having fun with the guy's best friend too. Needless to say we gushed about it like highschool girls after that night. It was somehow a self-ego boosting night for us too LOL. I mean, we can attract "ang mohs". That states a lot lolol! I would explain it in more detail but I'd rather not heh. ^_^v

Well, that concludes the month of August. Happening life is happening.
Bye, August. Bring on September. xx

Kuching Got Talent 2013

So it's around 2.30am but I can't seem to fall asleep so here's an update for people who actually bother to read my blog! Hehhh. Anyways, Vanity decided to join Kuching's Got Talent 2013 that was held in conjunction of Kuching Festival that is held yearly? I heard this competition has been going on annually as well to somewhat attract more people to the festival.

The event was quite well organized this year as the dancing and singing were both categorized and judged differently compared to the previous years (so i've heard). We also had time for stage rehearsals and so on so forth. The competition was held for 3 weeks straight, as there were 3 rounds - audition round, semi finals and of course, finals. As you can see in the picture above or if you've been updated by Vanity's page, I am happy my efforts paid off teehee ^_^v

WE WON CHAMPION FOR THE DANCER CATEGORY AS WELL AS OVERALL GRAND CHAMPION FOR THE ENTIRE EVENT ASDFGHJKL ☺ Thank you for everyone's support! xx

The theme for our final round was Vampire hence, the fake teeth, i mean fangs and crazy heavy makeup! The fangs were really, really, really annoying. The glue felt really disgusting too and I think we scared a lot of people that night hehh. The weather gods were good to us tho. It was windy, rainy and gloomy that night! Just perfect for our theme! :D

We were the first group to perform that day so we were pretty nervous lol. Kept hitting each others' boobs and butt to somehow pat off the nerves. Group selca before going on stage!

Some shots I stole from Bev's blog and my friend's phone of us dancing on stage that day. Can you spot me? A lot of people couldn't differentiate us that night till they look at our signature hair colours lolol.

"Everybody looks naked or half naked except you," said a friend. LOLOL WHUUUT HAHAHAH! :'D

We danced the routine twice that night as we had to dance again since we won! Missed our food consuming moment at Kuching Fest but indulged in McD later so it's all good! :P

A friend sent this to us the next morning! I can't read chinese but at least I know what this means! :3

Thank you all who have supported us all along and congratulated us! We will continue to work even harder next time. All bruises and pains here and there were worth it teeheee. Always grateful! :) xx

I tried uploading both Audition and Semi Final rounds as well but blogger decided to be a bish hmmph. Guess this finals video is somewhat decent heh. Check out his channel for other performances throughout the whole event as well! xx

Due to certain copyrights and shizz i don't understand maybe the video won't play so you can watch it HERE!

Till my next update buh byeeeee! xx

Clash of the Kingz Grand Finals

*us at Pizza Hut after checking in our hotel D-1*

Heyy peopleeee. This is a very delayed post teehee. So i mentioned before that my crew got sponsored to tag along and compete in the Grand Finals for Clash of the Kingz 2013 at KL.I'm a little blurry on the details since i've delayed this post for too long hehhh. Do forgive me :P ANYWAYS.

Our flight was at 6.15-6.45am i think? So i reached airport at around 5am. since I wanted breakfast since i foretold that we would not be eating much after reaching KL. Plus, breakfast is important hehhh. Slept peacefully in the plane this time! No humans taking up my arm rests and kicking my chair *YES!* i usually have bad luck with my plane seats so yeah. Landed and we started getting lots of strange stares and shit because...

*guess which one is me? Hair credits all thanks to Teresa*

....of our multiple coloured hair. It's not everyday you see a group of multi coloured hair people walking around together or it's just them who are being somewhat "sakai". Anyways, i'm proud to proclaim we didn't use any taxi services at all but stuck to buses, monorails, and walking lol. Walking is fine.. till you have to drag your bloody heavy luggages all over the place -.- it was a torture to find our budget hotel. We decided not to splurge so much on hotels since we only needed one night. The night after was sponsored as well as the flight tickets. Yayy! After checking in and lunch.. SHOPPING!

The actual event actually starts on the 5th of July but we went a day earlier to settle down and stuff. Thank god we did. It was hectic the next day. We did loads of HnM shopping and i regretted not spending more at Bukit Bintang. I have that "bu shuang" feeling for the rest of the day LOL.

Indulged in a lot of food but didn't really take out phone to snap. But here's a picture of our Snowflake to compensate that hehh. I would take this over ZenQ anytime, anyday. ^_^v
Great.. now i have the craving to eat this! :(

*no but seriously.. see how cramped it is?*

By the time we reached back to our hotel we were dead beat. Only to realize.. how "budget" or budget hotel room really is. We dragged the top layer of the bed to the side so at least we could sleep. hehhh. and our luggages had to be somewhat stacked on each other LOL. There was hardly any place to walk but we only needed to sleep so i guess that's fine. We watched HBO the whole night and i think i fell asleep at 7pm but i woke up an hour later..just in time to stop Cherry from taking a very unglam picture of me sleeping -.-

End of day one! xx

 The next morning:-

May i just mention i slept horribly last night? LOL. So I had to curl a few members' hair last night so that we don't have to waste so much time getting ready the next morning. and when i was done with the final member, my sleeping place was stolen -.- so i had to sleep somewhere else which was next to Cherry. After that night i made a promise to myself never to sleep next to her ever again. I was so tempted to kick her all over to Bev's side. GRR. A whole night she kicked and pushed me to the wall AND stole the blanket. May i add the room was so fcking cold too! T__T What did i ever do to deserve this treatment? I even sat up in the middle of the night to talk to them even tho they can't hear me. "NI MEN HEN SHUANG HOHHHH?!" *BIG SIGH* Hence, my swollen face and heavy eyebags. lolol.

Second day started off quite tiring. We had to check out of the budget hotel and walk to the other side to Tune Hotel which was our sponsored hotel for the event. Due to some problems we had to wait in the lobby for quite a long time until we could finally check into our hotel rooms. I kinda lost my hotel key so i had to pay an extra Rm5 for another key. Why am i so careless? -.-

Did another round of shopping at..*can't remember where* and finally went to The Stage for rehearsals before the event.

Us. I finally know how Teresa feels when she has to do the snapping. Your face is the largest and fattest. :(

The inside of The Stage. Rehearsals ended at around 6pm and we didnt have time to really grab a bite or something. We hurried backstage to get ready..

Mascots of the Day. It's as if they're using the Sparta or Clash of the Titans theme :D Not complaining tho. Look at those abs! :O

Organisers of the event. I don't have a picture of all the judges tho :(

Look slash selfie of the day.

Vanity Crew <3 p="">

Since Teresa wasn't here, Jasz took her place instead. Lucky bitch enjoying beaches and stuff in Redang hmmph -.- HAHAHA. Anyways, we left a spot for her which she vainly photoshopped herself inside hahah! :P Cannot even. Vain level x1000!

and no, we didn't win. Congrats to Pop Diva, winner of showcase category. and.

Congrats to Bboy Leggo and Bboy Kinobu for winning bboy battle 2 on 2. It was so dope!

Group photo after the whole event. Ladies Bae didnt get to perform so I was quite disappointed. Wanted to watch their showcase since their rehearsal looked awesome. oh well.. Can you spot me? :D
Went to mamak for food after that. Was starved since we didn't really get a bite the whole day. By the time we reached back to our hotel it was already around 1-2am? Thank god we had friends to drive us back to the hotel that night!

As usual after our bath, it's not easy to fall asleep so we had an instant cup noodle session at the cafe below. Low and behold our bare faces hehhhh ^_^v We had sleeping arrangements too. I slept with Munie. Jasz with Beverly and Cherry alone. Shouldn't have put Jasz and Bev together tho since the next morning they ' couldn't wake up -.- As for me, thank god i was half awake already if not Munie would have slapped my boobs to wake me up! Jeeezusss. lolol.

*Jasz and I safely in our seats hehhh*

We took the monorail all the way to KL Central then took a bus to the airport and thanks to Air Asia slow services, we almost missed our flight! Our luggages had to be checked in but we didn't have enough time at all. I mean, we lined up for around 45 mins and later at the counted this lady said we're late by around 5 mins to check in out luggage. Kill me now. Then at the other counter, some idiots don;t realize how rude it is to cut queue hence, us begging the person to let us board with our extremely overweight luggages! Thank God of all heavens they closed a blind eye! *kneels down and thanks them* After that it was a race with time. We ran and ran and ran and finally could breathe after sitting in our seats. *blows out big breath* Thrilling, but never again do i want to go through this. Zz.

Overall this trip has been an eye-opening, tiring one. Still we get to see other people's standard and what we have got to have to be able to serve on the platter next time. Lesson learnt: always be humble since there's tons of people who are damn right better than us. whee.

Zonk out till my next post! xx
